The children paraded into the church with their flags, lowered their flags during our act of Remembrance and then paraded out of the church at the end of the service.

The Brownies and Scouts  gave out and collected in the congregations ribbon prayers – where everybody thought of countries that are at war today.

The ribbons were hung on our prayer tree.

June

Eco Church

Can you spot some new additions to our church grounds?

The Brownies and Guides met on Wednesday 18th June and worked very hard to create bug hotels and citrus bird feeders which they have placed around our church grounds.

Each of the bug hotels are named

– one is called ‘St.Aidan’s Towers’ !

They also carried out a biodiversity blitz.

Thank you for all your hard work.

Sunday 15th June – Father’s day

10.00am today we held a Family Parade service

to give thanks for Dads, Grandads and our Heavenly Father!

We were joined by our uniformed organisations and families.

May

We packed away our lawnmower and allowed wildflowers to bloom freely on our lawn during May.

The reason behind this decision:

Approximately 97% of flower-rich meadows have been lost since the 1930s. With them we have also lost vital food needed by pollinators like bees and butterflies. Leaving a mix of

grass lengths in our lawn from #NoMowMay and beyond means we are giving nature the boost it deserves. With more than 23 million gardens in the UK even the smallest wild patch can make a difference. We can help provide vital food needed by bees and butterflies and connect with nature on our doorstep.
