St Aidan’s Hall to be a COVID Testing Station

8th January 2021

St Aidan’s Hall will become a COVID Testing Station for three months from Monday 11th January.                             After negotiation and consultation we have agreed to this proposal from Southend Council as a means of doing all       we can to slow the spread of the virus and save lives. We hope this initiative will be supported by our community.

The Testing Station is for people without any symptoms of the virus, essentially for people who are still going out to work, to have regular tests. Tests are by appointment, and bookings can be made via Southend Council web-site.

St Aidan’s chapel will continue to be open for private prayer, even though no services are taking place at the present time at St Aidan’s.
