All Souls’ Service, Sunday 1st November 3pm 2020

9th October 2020

Each year we hold an All Souls’ Service at St Aidan’s.

This is a time particularly to remember loved ones who have died,

and to recall God’s love for them and for ourselves, and the hope of life eternal in Jesus Christ.

The names of those we are remembering are read out, and as we do this there is an opportunity to light a candle as we remember them.

The service includes a reading and short talk, and time to be still and pray.                                                                       This year the service is on Sunday 1st November at 3pm.

The service will last about 30 minutes.

This year, because of the COVID restrictions the service will be slightly different to previous years. Unfortunately, there will be no hymns, and no refreshments after the service. The seating in church is arranged for social distancing, and face coverings are required to be worn by those attending (however there are exceptions for those who find it difficult to wear a face-covering). To maintain social distancing in church, I need to know how many people will attend.

I hope you may be able to join us, and if you are, please let me know by email, gordontarry@yahoo.co.uk, or telephone 01702 512531 with numbers of other family members or friends who may accompany you.

Many thanks,

Yours,

Gordon
